Back to Nature: Possible Confusion
A while ago, I was running a weekly "column" called Going Back to Nature. After looking back over some of my posts, I wanted to make something clear. So I thought now would be the perfect time to do it.
Going Back to Nature has nothing to do with fighting global warming or any of the other nonsense propaganda out there. Although, some of my posts did seem to support that idea. It has to do with getting in touch with how things used to be before the television, modern "machines", and even cities changed the world forever. Sometimes it's just good to go back to your roots. To start growing your own food in your own garden or making your bread from scratch or being a good wife because you're supposed to be, not just when it's convenient.
Sometimes I think we would all be better off if we turned off the television and disconnected (cell phones, email, facebook, twitter, etc.) from the world for a while. We wouldn't have people telling us how we should feel or what we should do and maybe, just maybe, we would start listening to that little voice inside (God's voice) telling how we really need to behave.
It's easy to think that since all this "stuff" is available and at our disposal we should use it, abuse it, and throw it away. But what about taking care of the things God has given you? What about taking the utmost care of the most important thing in the world, you? Everything we have is from God. 1 Chronicles 29:15b For everything is from you, and we only give you what we have received from you. So we should treat everything with the greatest respect, including our bodies and what we put into them and what we do with them.
Just something to think about. Hope that cleared up any confusion.

I like that clarification. Wise words from a wise woman.
